Support Groups

​You are not alone. I encourage you to take advantage of one of the many support groups offered below. Sometimes just talking about what you're going through with others who understand has immeasurable benefits.

Support groups bring together people facing similar issues, whether that's trauma, anxiety, depression or other major life changes. Members of support groups often share experiences and advice. It offers a forum to meet and network with others sharing the same challenges.

 If you would benefit from a support group that is not listed below, please contact me and let me know. Chances are, there are others who are also in need, and we can form a new group to meet your need.

A Different Kind of Love

This 12 week (90 minute) support group is offered to female victims of domestic violence. Survivors will lean on each other for support and encouragement as they learn about the dynamics of domestic violence, impact of abuse, identify red flags, healthy boundaries, and coping skills. Through self-care activities, art therapy, reflective homework, and group discussions, members will gain insight & tools to heal from abuse.

Closed group for 6-8 members.

Surviving to Thriving

A 12 week (90 minute) supportive and healing group for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Survivors will lean on each other for support and encouragement as they process the trauma and grief of having been sexually abused. The group will learn about and explore: PTSD symptoms, safety & trust, boundaries, dynamics of abuse, sexuality, feelings of self-blame, family dynamics, coping skills. 

Closed group for 6-8 members.

PTSD Psychoeducation

This 6 week (90 minute) support group is designed to help you understand what happens in the body after enduring an overwhelming traumatic event. It will teach you about the symptoms of PTSD and tools to cope.
